FAQ
How does the Blueprint meal plan work?
Blueprint was invented by Bryan Johnson based on his hired team of professionals, medical doctors and nutrition experts. It resulted in two meals that build the baseline of the diet: the Super Veggie as a breakfast (Bryan eats it early morning) and the Nutty Pudding as a dessert at the end of the day (Bryan eats it at noon).
You can adapt the diet by integrating those two meals into your daily routine, too. Start with the Super Veggie to have the energy for the day and eat the Nutty Pudding at your convenience.
Why a subscription?
Subscriptions help us reducing food waste and increase predictability, so you profit from fresher food and better prices.
How often do we forget to shop health groceries to prepare healthy food and instead opt in for junk food? Subscribing to the food delivery helps you establishing a stable and health food routine which is best from a longevity perspective.
Where do you deliver?
To ensure the highest possible quality and freshness, we currently deliver to areas in the city of Zurich. You'll see if your area is served during checkout.
Where is the food made?
The food is made locally in a «ghost kitchen» (a term for a kitchen that has no restaurant tables) in Kreis 6 in Zurich that exclusively produces the two meals based on the evidence-based recipe.
Ghost kitchens are essentially restaurants without the dining space. Their focus is to sell and fulfill online food orders for delivery.
What are your nutrition facts, macronutrients, and micronutrients?
You can see all nutritional information directly on the menu, as well as on the meal label itself.
Are the ingredients organic?
Yes, they are! All of our ingredients are 100% organic. When some fruits are not in season, we might not be able to acquire fresh produce in organic quality. In those cases, we'll label this clearly on the packaging.
Do you also provide catering?
We believe Blueprint meals are so convenient and versatile that we’re happy to deliver them for events, conferences, and team-building activities. Please contact shop@zenmeals.ch to plan everything.

The science, in short
-
Fibre & legumes
Read the researchMost diets fall short on fibre. A large review of carbohydrate research found people eating the most fibre had 15 to 30% lower rates of death from any cause. Black lentils make up more of the Super Veggie than any other ingredient.
-
Polyphenols & sulforaphane
Read the researchBerries, cocoa, and olive oil supply polyphenols, plant compounds linked to a 7% lower risk of death in a recent meta-analysis. Broccoli and cauliflower supply glucoraphanin, which your body converts into sulforaphane.
-
Minimally processed
Read the researchA randomized trial found people eating an ultra-processed diet ate about 500 more calories a day than on a minimally processed diet with the same nutrients on paper. We cook fresh every week instead of batch-freezing.
Questions people actually ask
Are ZenMeals meals identical to Bryan Johnson's Blueprint recipes?
No. They're inspired by the same category of meal, built around legumes and vegetables, but our recipes are our own. ZenMeals is not affiliated with Bryan Johnson or Blueprint.
Where do your ingredients come from?
We source organic ingredients from suppliers serving the Zurich area wherever we can, prioritizing freshness.
Are your ingredients organic?
Yes, all ZenMeals ingredients are organically grown, with rare seasonal exceptions when a specialty ingredient runs short.
Is ZenMeals vegan?
Both current meals are plant-based, though we don't market ourselves as strictly vegan since future recipes may add options like eggs.
How much protein is in a ZenMeals meal?
The Super Veggie has roughly 27 g of protein per portion; the Nutty Pudding has roughly 9 g.
How much fibre is in a ZenMeals meal?
The Super Veggie has roughly 18 g of fibre per portion, and the Nutty Pudding roughly 14 g.
How many calories are in a ZenMeals meal?
The Super Veggie runs roughly 490 kcal and the Nutty Pudding roughly 400 kcal per portion.
Is ZenMeals keto-friendly?
No. Our meals get a meaningful share of calories from carbohydrates via lentils, vegetables, and fruit.
Is ZenMeals gluten-free?
Both current recipes are naturally free of wheat, barley, and rye, but we don't currently hold formal gluten-free certification.
Do I have a nut allergy risk?
Yes. The Nutty Pudding contains macadamia, walnuts, brazil nut, and almond milk, and the Super Veggie is prepared in a kitchen that also handles tree nuts.
Can ZenMeals help with weight loss?
Whole-food, fibre-and-protein-rich meals tend to be more filling per calorie, which can help with a calorie deficit, but total daily intake still matters.
Can I eat ZenMeals every day?
Many subscribers do, typically as lunch and dinner or breakfast and lunch, filling in the remaining meal themselves.
Can I freeze ZenMeals meals?
The Nutty Pudding freezes well for up to a month. We don't recommend freezing the Super Veggie.
What's the shelf life of a ZenMeals meal?
Both meals keep for 3 to 4 days refrigerated from delivery, and the Nutty Pudding can also be frozen for up to a month.
Where are ZenMeals meals prepared?
In a small production kitchen in Kreis 6, Zurich, on a weekly fresh-preparation cycle.
How long does it take to prepare a meal at home?
Under two minutes: a microwave or stovetop reheat for the Super Veggie, and no prep at all for the Nutty Pudding.

We currently deliver within the city of Zurich, with free shipping included.
Can I pause or cancel my subscription?
Yes to both, anytime, with no minimum commitment.
Is a subscription cheaper than a one-time order?
Yes, subscriptions save 5% versus one-time orders, on top of already including free shipping.
Is ZenMeals cheaper than cooking the same meal myself?
Once you factor in ingredient cost and waste, ZenMeals is often comparable to or cheaper than cooking the same recipe yourself, and it saves the time entirely.
Do you also provide catering?

Where can I see all the questions?
See all 37 questions on our FAQ page.
Catering for teams
ZenMeals also caters offsites, breakfasts, and team events for companies across Zurich. Every meal follows the same whole-food, evidence-based recipes we sell to individual subscribers.
